Privacy Policy

This policy explains how MortgageCalcGrid handles information when you visit or use the service.

Calculator information

Calculator inputs may include home price, income, debts, savings, credit-score range, ZIP code, loan assumptions, taxes, insurance, and HOA costs. The current calculator-only beta uses this information to generate results in your browser. Saved plans and rate targets are stored locally in your browser when you choose those features; they are not submitted as mortgage applications or shared with lenders by MortgageCalcGrid.

Information collected automatically

If analytics tools are configured, we and our service providers may receive limited technical and usage information such as device and browser type, approximate location derived from an IP address, pages viewed, referring page, interactions, timestamps, and diagnostic information. Hosting and security providers may also process IP addresses and request logs to deliver and protect the service.

How information is used

We use information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service; understand feature usage; prevent fraud and abuse; respond to questions; and comply with legal obligations. We do not use calculator inputs to make credit decisions.

Sharing and sale

We may provide limited information to vendors that perform hosting, analytics, security, storage, and similar services for us, subject to their contractual and legal obligations. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business reorganization. During the calculator-only beta, MortgageCalcGrid does not sell mortgage leads or share calculator inputs with lenders or mortgage professionals.

Cookies and local storage

The service may use local storage for essential preferences, saved plans, and locally saved rate targets. Optional analytics scripts are not loaded unless you select Allow analytics in our privacy control. You may decline analytics or reopen Privacy settings in the footer to change your choice. You can also clear local browser data or use browser controls to limit these technologies, although some features may then stop working.

Retention

Information stored only in your browser remains there until you remove it, clear browser storage, or use a browser setting that removes it. Server and analytics logs are retained only as reasonably necessary for operations, security, diagnostics, legal obligations, and the purposes described in this policy, subject to provider settings and applicable law.

Your choices and privacy requests

You may clear saved calculator information through your browser. Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about certain processing. Send privacy requests to privacy@mortgagecalcgrid.com. We may need to verify a request before responding.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the service. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children

MortgageCalcGrid is intended for adults planning housing decisions and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
